A little 59 fact:
The high quality Welsh beef you see on our menu is sourced by our in house Butchery from Llanrwst through Conwy Valley Meats. Llanrwst is on the River Conwy which flows into the Conwy estuary where lush pasture land makes an ideal setting for raising top quality beef. All livestock is porcured within 40 miles of Llanrwst from dedicated farms and local livestock auctions, giving the meat full traceability back to the farm it came from. Our Master Butcher, Andrew then matures the beef for at least 30 days (Ribeye for 59 days) and hand cuts the steaks for Chef.

CANELLA PROSECCO BRUT
The wine is a brilliant straw yellow with fine, persistent perlage and fruity aromas of peach, apple, pear and citrus fruit.

CANELLA ROSE PROSECCO
Canella Rose is a spumante combining the freshness and fruit of Prosecco Canella with the seductive appeal of pink. The palate is fresh and mellow, but the finish is dry and crisp, ideal as an aperitif.

AYALA BRUT MAJEUR
Light gold in colour, with a delicate mousse. The nose unveils expressive notes of citrus, florals and white fruits. Well balanced with a delicate complexity.

LAURENT-PERRIER LA CUVEE BRUT
La Cuvee is pale gold with a steady stream of fine bubbles. The nose has delicate aromas of citrus fruits, underpinned by hints of white flowers.

AYALA BRUT ROSE
A delicate cherry hue with a hint of copper. The mousse is fine and persistent. The nose displays aromas of red fruits (strawberries, raspberries and morello cherries) together with nuances of spice.

LAURENT-PERRIER ROSE
The undisputed star of all Rose Champagne and stocked in the world’s best restaurants. A beautiful pale pink Champagne with lovely summer fruit flavours.

Only ever made and bottled in Italy at their breweries in Rome, Bari and Padova. Peroni Nastro Azzurro is brewed using the creativity and flair of Italians; blending the finest hops with two-row spring planted barley and a quarter of Italian maize which produces its uniquely crisp and refreshing taste.

Sweet with good acid balance and a lingering aftertaste of redcurrant and raspberry.

 

RED WINE

UGALDE RIOJA TEMPRANILLO  – Spain (13.5%)
Aromas of red berries which combine elegantly oaky and balsamic notes from the wood. Lively, rich and well balanced with a lovely long mature Rioja finish.

ENRECOTE CABERNET SYRAH MERLOT  – France (13.5%)
A classic blend. Deep red in colour with purple hues. An aromatic nose with blackberry and blackcurrant along with toasty aromas. Full body with a fruity aftertaste.

BOSCHENDAL PINOTAGE – South Africa (14%)
A classic vintage. Rich, ripe and vibrant red and blackcurrants, spice and plums. A classic example of South Africa’s very own grape varietal.

GRAVEL & LOAN PINOT NOIR – New Zealand (12%)
The bouquet is full of ripe, dark raspberries, black cherries and lifted floral aromas with raspberries, cherries and plums featuring on the palate. This wine has gentle acidity enhancing the suppleness and accessibility, finishing smoothly to a soft textured, plummy finish.

LES AUMONIERS CHATEAUNEUF du PAPE – France (13.5%)

This is a rich, full, spicy wine from a classic blend of Rhone grapes. A wine of great complexity that is perfect with red meats.

PATRIARCHE MERLOT – France (13%)

Ripe blackcurrant and hebaceous aromas lead to a medium bodied palate of cherryish fruit, with soft tannins and good acidity.

ALTO DE MAYO MALBEC – Argentina (13%)
Wonderfully rich plum, cherry and blackcurrant flavours that lead to a smooth finish.

MIOPASSO NERO d’AVOLA – Italy (14%)

Deep, purple/ red with an incredibly intense nose featuring black pepper and spices. The palate offers layers and layers of fruit with bursts of dark berry fruit, offering excellent balance and complexity, with a soft, long finish.

VICTORIA PARK SHIRAZ/ VIOGNIER – Australia (14%)

Bright crimson in colour. The a palate has a generous fruit cove of plums and blackberry. The small amount of viognier used in the blend gives the wine of floral lift.

TORRES GRAN CORONAS – CABERNET SAUVIGNON – Spain (14%)
Opaque, dark cherry red wine. Intensely fruity ( blueberries, blackberries) with delicately spicy (juniper) and balsamic notes. Warm on the palate with velvety tannins nicely rounded by oak aging.

SEPTIMA MALBEC – Argentina
Aromas of fresh berries balanced with the oak, plus vanilla and roasted scents with a velvety full-bodied palate.

CHAKANA ESTATE MALBEC– Argentina
Aromas of dried plum and other dark fruits, exotic spices, with hints of violet and chocolate.

GAUCHEZCO PLATA CAB FRANC MALBEC – Argentina
Sumptuous flavours of cassis and cherry fruit followed by layers of chocolate, dulce de leche and coffee.

TERRAZAS SINGLE VINEYARD MALBEC – Argentina
Ripe berry fruit with notes of black pepper and cinnamon, Silky smooth tannins and an elegant finish.

WHITE WINE

TEMPUS TWO PINOT GRIS – Australia (12.5%)
Made from the Pinot Gris grape ( Pinot Grigio). The wine is pale lemon in with delicate aromas of pear and passion fruit, with a hint of citrus.

THE LIBERATOR FRANCOPHILE CHENIN BLANC – South Africa (14%)
A dry, unoaked wine marked by delicious, ripe, tropical fruit flavours and attractive aromas of lime zest and guava.

NEWTON JOHNSON FELICITE CHARDONNAY – South Africa (13%)
Succulent aromas of white peach and a steely citrus edge. Clean and lush texture in the mouth with a tangy citrus finish.

TARINGI SAUVIGNON BLANC – New Zealand (12.5%)
Lifted notes of gooseberry and ripe guava on the nose and a beautifully fresh crisp palate that is fruity, yet dry on the finish.

ALBAPIANA DARD VIOGNIER – Italy (13%)

A lucious summer Viognier with clean apricot and peach fruit, lovely minerality, good texture and fantastic balance between fruit flavour and refreshing acidity.

PICPOUL di PINET ORMARINE – France (12.5%)

Very fresh nose evokes the white flowers aroma. On the palate it offers a nice balance with fruity and aniseed taste.

CALAZUL ALBARINO – Spain (12.5%)
Lemon yellow with golden reflections, clear and bright. Intense nose with hints of stone fruit and apple, finishing with mineral notes. On the palate it reveals a well- integrated acidity, giving a harmonious whole, freshness without edges, leaving a pleasant lingering palate.

WALT RIESLING– Germany (11%)

Walt Riesling is elegant and fruity with a dry apple crispiness, a hint of yellow peach with the natural tension of Riesling. A perfect partner to salads and seafoods.

GAVI di GAVI GIGI – Italy (12.5%)

Pale straw in colour, with delicate greenish highlights. On the nose there are intense fruity and flowery notes. Almonds and hazelnuts on the palate.

VINA VENTISQUERO GREY CHARDONNAY – Chile (13%)

This wine has a complex and elegant bouquet in which the aromas of ripe tropical fruit, such as pineapple, mango and papaya intermingle with gentle mineral and citrus notes. The oak-ageing contributes gentle notes of vanilla and dried fruit.

ROSE WINE

CIELO PINOT GRIGIO BLUSH  – Italy (12%)
A fresh and light rose from the Venezie area East of the beautiful city of Venice. This wine shows a delicious balance of citrus fruits, cherry and red berry flavours.

DOMAINE CLAVEL COTES du RHONE ROSE – France (13%)
This wine presents a beautiful pale pink colour with salmon highlights. The intense nose is marked by notes of citrus, English candy and white fruit. The palate is round and fresh, and the long finish gives the wine a crispy texture with notes of white peach and lemon.

VILLA WOLF PINOT NOIR ROSE– Germany (11.5%)

Light and refreshing with bright berry and fruit flavours. Clean and zippy. Put your prejudices away, well worth a try as the perfect apertif.

The Story

2 Brothers, 1 Butcher & a Chef

With the award winning Hollies Farm Shop at their fingertips they conjured up a fantastic way to showcase fabulous fresh produce from their Farm Shop in our new Steakhouse Restaurant in Tarporley Cheshire, 59 At The Hollies.

Combining the Butcher’s high quality, fully traceable, local aged beefsteaks that are matured and cut in house, the plentiful fresh produce from the Farm Shop and the skills of the Chef; the 59 concept was born. An extension to the popular Hollies Farm Shop Coffee Shop, 59 At The Hollies will serve food between 5 and 9 each evening with a dinner menu brimming with the best the Farm Shop has to offer along with 59 gins from our accompanying gin bar.
